A mole within the Obama inner circle discovered that Michelle Obama spent $674,000 on designer clothing during a recent shopping spree.

Hogwash. While it is standard practice to purchase new items on the campaign trail, Mrs. Obama did not spend thousands on new clothes. Admittedly, Michelle is a big fan of Chanel, Gucci and Prada, but she does not “pay” for any newly acquired items. In fact, several designers are encouraged to “donate” to the campaign. People can express their support in many different ways, some can write checks, some can hang signs, others can give at least five new pieces from their fall line to help the cause.

Insiders have noticed a dramatic increase in Obama’s drinking. Behind closed doors, Obama is consuming massive amounts of alcohol at an alarming pace.

Baloney. Senator Obama has always been very open about is preference for an occasional cocktail, but he is in no way drinking excessively. On the contrary, Mr. Obama is a self-proclaimed lightweight when it comes to alcohol. Barack can hardly finish his wine cooler during morning briefings. Even at lunch, the Senator refuses to order more than 3 Tequila Shooters. In addition, there have been several occasions when Michelle ends up winning the nightly beer bong competition.

Obama organizers have hired Madonna to perform at the Senator’s private birthday next month.

Nothing but tabloid gossip. Senator Obama is just having a small gathering of family and friends to help celebrate his 47th birthday. Absolutely no one will be paid to attend. This is strictly a very modest get-together. If Madonna decides to break into song before the main entrée – that’s entirely her decision. If Michael Jackson wants to sing Billie Jean during desert – that’s completely up to him. It’s crazy to think that Bruce Springsteen will be paid to play Born In The USA while Barack makes his entrance; Mr. Springsteen said that he’d be more than willing to do it for free.
